Over 85% of Wang Fuk Court owners accept government buyout

Owners who submitted their acceptance letters by 30 June secured priority in the first round of flat selection.

More than 85% of owners at Wang Fuk Court’s eight buildings have confirmed their intention to sell their properties to the Hong Kong government.

As of the morning of 30 June, 85.6% of owners had submitted signed Letters of Acceptance. This included 1,481 owners in Blocks A to G, equivalent to 85.3% of flats in the seven buildings.

Another 217 owners from Wang Chi House, or Block H, submitted acceptance letters, representing 87.5% of units in the building.

The Housing Bureau said owners who returned their signed letters by 30 June would receive first-batch flat-selection priority under the Special Sales Exercise.

Letters could be submitted by post, courier or hand delivery, through designated drop-off points or via Engagement Team members. For postal submissions, the postmark date would be treated as the submission date.
