HK appoints Wong Sai-fat as the new Director of Marine

He assumes the post on 8 September 2025.

 

The government has announced that Wong Sai-fat will take up the appointment as Director of Marine effective 8 September 2025, following an open and in-service recruitment exercise.

Wong joined the Marine Department as Surveyor of Ships in June 1997. He served as the Deputy Director of the Marine from September 2016 and the Acting Director of the Marine from late January 2024 to June 2025.

The Transport and Logistics Bureau conducted an open and service recruitment exercise for the post of Director of Marine in March 2025. Wong was appointed to this post after a selection process.
