BOCHK warns against phishing website

The fake login page intends to steal customers’ data, BOCHK said.

Bank of China (Hong Kong) (BOCHK) has warned against a hyperlink leading to a fraudulent website claiming to be BOC.

The fraudulent website carries the address: hxxps[:] //carousell[.] orderfrom[.] today/personal/ 240591716?refer=3&bank=4.

It features a login page that reportedly intends to steal customers’ data, including their internet banking number, username, and password, BOCHK warned.

The bank has reported the case to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the Hong Kong Police Force. 

BOCHK reminded customers not to provide personal information (including passwords) through hyperlinks, QR codes or attachments embedded in e-mails or on websites.
