3 Hongkongers enter Forbes’ 50 Over 50 Asia list

One of the awardees is incoming HKEX CEO, Bonnie Chan.

Three Hongkongers were part of the Forbes’ 50 Over 50: Asia list, which recognises women who are “exerting their influence on fashion, pharma, finance and beyond.”

The youngest of the three Hongkongers is Bonnie Chan, the incoming CEO of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX).

Forbes lauded Wong for being the “first female chief executive officer of one the world’s top 10 stock exchanges.”

Also on the list is Ronna Chao, chair of the Novetex Textiles. Chao also helms other businesses created by her family, including corporate investor Novel Investment Partners, electronic component manufacturer Novelpark Investments, and the education enterprise Bao Xian Asia Institute.

Joining the two businesswomen on the list is educator Pascale Fung. Fung is the chair of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
