Between 2019 and 2023, employment in tech-related fields increased by 5%.

In terms of tech talent cost, Hong Kong ranks moderately, with software engineers earning an average salary of $783,119 (US$100,000), comprising 95% of base salary and 5% of additional benefits.

This positions Hong Kong near Beijing and Shanghai, which offer similar compensation but with a lower base salary of around 70%, with the remainder comprising additional benefits.
