Market Update: HSI up by 1.42%
The Hang Seng Index (HSI) closed on Wednesday up by 403.58 points or 1.42% at 28,900.83.
Top performers for the day were AAC Technologies Holdings, with $46.70 or 5.54% in gains, Geely Automobile Holdings which increased by 4.99% or $20.20, and Wuxi Biologics (Cayman) which went higher by 4.80% or $107.
The Tech Index also surged 186.86 points or 2.32% at 8,225.67.
Meanwhile, the S&P 500 slid by 0.41% or 16.93 points to 4,124.66. The NASDAQ also declined by 0.99% or 138.26 points closing at 13,857.84, whilst the Dow Jones Industrial climbed by about 53.62 points or 0.16% at 33,730.89.
The FTSE 100 ended up by 0.71% or 49.09 points at 6,939.58. FTSE 250 also went higher by 0.39% or 86.99 points ending at 22,355.45.
