Hong Kong stocks continue to fall

The benchmark Hang Seng Index closed at 22,906.90, down 83.91 points, or 0.36 percent, after fluctuating between 22,837.09 and 23,055.47.

Turnover totaled at 65.5 billion HK dollars or 8.41 billion U.S. dollars, which went down from Tuesday's 73.1 billion HK dollars.

The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index went down 100.05 points, or 0.81 percent to close at 12,251.61.

Analysts said regional stock market were stabilizing, and the Hang Seng index might still go down by small margins
in the coming trading days but too much downside adjustment was unlikely after the last two days' tumble.

Three of the Hang Seng's four sub-indices lost ground. The Commerce and Industry sub-index was the biggest loser, losing 0.7 percent, followed by the Properties, sliding 0.53 percent, and the Finance at 0.11 percent. The
Utilities went up 0.3 percent.
