Gov’t to set up task force for Mainland business expansion
Mainland enterprises can establish corporate treasury centres in the city.
The “GoGlobal Task Force” will be set up to encourage Mainland enterprises to use Hong Kong to expand their businesses overseas, Chief Executive John Lee announced in his 2025 Policy Address.
Mainland enterprises can establish corporate treasury centres and regional headquarters in the city for cross‑boundary settlement, remittance, financing and related functions.
They can also tap Hong Kong’s professional “high-value-added” supply chain services in fields such as accounting and law.
The Government will develop a one-stop platform by using Hong Kong’s overseas offices—including InvestHK, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, and Mainland offices—and establish the GoGlobal Task Force.
Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development will lead the task force and coordinate various bureaus, departments and agencies in formulating proposals for enterprises.
Hong Kong will fully integrate into national development, capitalising on national strategies such as the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and co‑operation under the Belt & Road Initiative, Lee said.
