Gov’t issues 2025 green bond report on proceeds allocation

About $240b in green bonds have been issued under the Sustainable Bond Programme.

The Government has released the Green Bond Report 2025, outlining the allocation of proceeds from green bond issuances and the expected environmental benefits of funded projects.

To date, the Government has issued about $240b in green bonds under the Sustainable Bond Programme.

The proceeds have been fully allocated for projects such as the construction and rehabilitation of trunk sewage rising mains in Cheung Sha Wan, the expansion of North District Hospital, and the high-performance computer system for the Hong Kong Observatory.
