Baidu targets dual-primary Hong Kong listing in 2026

The conversion remains subject to market conditions and regulatory approvals.

Baidu plans to convert its Hong Kong listing into a dual-primary listing, with the transition expected to take effect within 2026.

The company’s board has approved the proposal and authorised management to undertake the preparations and procedures required for the conversion.

Once completed, Baidu will be dual-primary listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq Global Select Market.

Its Class A ordinary shares and American depositary shares will continue trading on the respective exchanges and remain mutually fungible. Each American depositary share represents eight Class A ordinary shares.

The conversion remains subject to market conditions and the receipt of necessary regulatory approvals. Baidu said it will release further announcements on any material developments.

Baidu trades in Hong Kong under stock codes 9888 for its HKD counter and 89888 for its RMB counter. Its American depositary shares are listed on Nasdaq under the symbol BIDU.
