Hong Kong’s Department of Health has issued a public alert regarding fraudulent advertisements circulating on social media and online platforms that falsely claim the government provides medical insurance for the elderly in Hong Kong.
The department clarified that it has never published nor authorised such advertisements and emphasised that the information is entirely false.
It urged individuals who may have provided personal information through these suspicious advertisements or websites to report the matter to the police.
