FWD Hong Kong adds cross-border care via New Frontier deal
The initiative includes a cashless hospitalisation service.
FWD Hong Kong has partnered with New Frontier Group to launch cross-border medical services for eligible policyholders in the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
The initiative includes a cashless hospitalisation service, priority access to specialists, and cancer care coordination between hospitals in mainland China and Hong Kong.
The service will be available through Guangzhou United Family Hospital and Shenzhen New Frontier United Family Hospital.
FWD's cashless hospitalisation coverage already extends to all Grade 3A hospitals in mainland China, including over 120 in the GBA.
New Frontier operates a network of general and specialty hospitals and provides health management services across mainland China and Hong Kong.
The partnership aims to offer integrated medical services and better access to treatment across the region.
As part of the expansion, FWD will extend its PREMIER THE ONEcierge One Team Health Management network to the two hospitals.
The service will include cashless admission, preferential appointment booking with UFH-affiliated doctors and specialists from other contracted Grade 3A hospitals, and cross-border cancer case coordination using telemedicine consultations between doctors in Hong Kong and mainland China.
Shenzhen New Frontier United Family Hospital operates under Joint Commission International (JCI) standards and covers around 73,000 square metres.
It targets middle- to high-income families in the GBA. Guangzhou United Family Hospital offers a broad range of services, including internal medicine, surgery, rehabilitation, traditional Chinese medicine, and 24-hour emergency care.
