Blue Cross expands GBA healthcare access with cross-border partners
Individual and group medical insurance holders can access medical consultations.
Blue Cross (Asia Pacific) Insurance has partnered with United Family Healthcare (UFH), Hong Kong Integrated Oncology Centre (HKIOC), HEAL Oncology under New Frontier Group, and Zhongshan Chen Xinghai Hospital to offer cross-border healthcare services for eligible customers in the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
Under the agreement, Blue Cross individual and group medical insurance holders can access medical consultations and surgical procedures at UFH's Shenzhen and Guangzhou hospitals, as well as at Zhongshan Chen Xinghai Hospital.
Doctors will handle pre-treatment assessments and direct billing applications, removing the need for patients to manage upfront payments.
The collaboration also enables cancer patients to receive diagnostic imaging and oncology treatment through HKIOC and HEAL Oncology in Hong Kong, with an option for cross-border care.
These centres offer a full range of services from diagnosis to systemic therapies.
Blue Cross is offering a free medical consultation for cancer diagnosis to eligible policyholders and has set up a dedicated customer service team to assist with cross-border appointment scheduling and enquiries.
Additional benefits include concierge-style hospitalisation services at UFH facilities and one free dental cleaning for eligible customers.
