Facebook finds its new home in Hong Kong at One Island East Building, Quarry Bay. Unveiled last week on July 24, the design of the Hong Kong space is centered around making life easier for staff and guests so they can focus on the work they love to do.

Special office features include: a complimentary open kitchen, locally commissioned art work, treadmill and moveable height desks, colloquially named meeting rooms, a massage chair, table tennis table, chill lounges and a signature floor to ceiling ‘Write Something’ Wall to capture personal messages from staff and guests.

A spokesperson told Hong Kong Business that colloquial names for meeting rooms and spaces used by Hong Kong staff include “Be Bold Like Ginger”, “Big Tea Rice”, “Dimmer Than Sugar Cane”, “Wind Blow Water Rise”, “Janet Bean”, “Blow Water” and “Jar Fit.” “Be Bold Like Ginger”, “Big Tea Rice”, “Dimmer Than Sugar Cane”, “Wind Blow Water Rise”, “Janet Bean”, “Blow Water” and “Jar Fit.”
