Women mentoring scheme begins

Over 80 female university students will be guided by 50 women leaders.

The "She Inspires" Mentorship Programme was launched to match female university students with female leaders as their mentors in professional and business sectors, said the Home & Youth Affairs Bureau on 19 July.

Over 50 women leaders will act as mentors to guide more than 80 university students to enhance their skills, confidence and network for their future career.

This year also marks the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action at the United Nations' Fourth World Conference on Women.

"I hope all of you will not only possess professional expertise, but also resilience and a heart that cares for our country and gives back to society," said Chief Secretary Chan Kwok-ki.
