Welfare cases in Hong Kong slipped 0.2%
There were 411,341 recipients.
In a report, the Social Welfare Department announced that the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance caseload stood at 265,995 in June, with a total of 411,341 recipients.
The number of cases was 0.2% lower than the previous month.
Low-earnings cases fell 1.4% to 9,585, and unemployment cases dipped 0.7% to 22,757.
Old-age cases dropped 0.2% to 152,491, while ill-health cases dipped 0.1% to 25,222.
Single-parent cases registered a 0.1% increase to 30,425, and permanent-disability cases were up 0.3% to 18,445.
