Over 4000 jobs up for grabs in Mong Kok job fair

Most jobs offer monthly salaries ranging from $12,000 to $22,000.

Four thousand five-hundred jobs will be offered by around 60 organisations in the Labour Department’s job fair at MacPherson Stadium in Mong Kok on 20 and 21 July, from 11 AM  to 5:30 PM.

Of the total roles on offer, 3,000 are from the catering, retail, and hotel industries.

Over 79% of the vacancies are also full-time jobs and most offer monthly salaries ranging from $12,000 to $22,000.

“The vacancies cover positions ranging from engineer to customer services officer, operations host, reservation clerk, assistant concierge, technician trainee, assistant manager, restaurant supervisor, pastry commis, management information system officer, senior building supervisor and interior designer,” the Labour Department said.

Nine in 10 (96%) of the jobs on offer require a Secondary Seven education level or below, depending on the job, and about 66% are open to job seekers without relevant work experience.
