Interest in global hiring growing amongst Hong Kong companies: report

HK-based companies are hiring talent from the Philippines, India, and more.

There has been a growing interest from companies in Hong Kong to attract talent overseas.

According to Deel, corporations are increasingly open to global hiring, or at least hiring by time zones, to retain or expand their talent pool.

“It can be used as a stop-gap measure, but also a long-term solution to secure the best talent needed,” Deel said.

The top five countries and cities where HK-based companies are hiring from are Manila, Philippines; London, United Kingdom; Tbilisi, Georgia; Bangalore, India; and Dnipro, Ukraine.

Most companies are hiring talent overseas for the following positions: translator, software developer, voice data annotator, account executive (sales), and software engineer.
