Gov’t to provide over 4,000 jobs in Mong Kok fair
The job fair will happen on 8 March to 9 March.
Over 4,000 jobs will be available to job seekers at the Labour Department’s job fair at MacPherson Stadium in Mong Kok on March 8 and 9.
According to the Labour Department, around 30 organisations will join the fair
Of the total jobs to be offered, 2,400 will come from the catering, retail and hotel industries.
“The vacancies cover the positions of a baker, accounting officer, instructor, technician, customer services officer, cook, assistant concierge, management trainee, assistant safety officer and security guard,” the Labour Department said.
“Around 81% of them are full-time jobs. Most vacancies offer monthly salaries ranging from $11,000 to $22,000,” it added.
About 97% of jobs the government will offer during the fair require a Secondary 6 education level or below, whilst about 58% are open to people without relevant work experience.
