Gov’t invites applications for $200m professional services fund
Applications are open until 31 August.
The Professional Services Advancement Support Scheme opened a new round of funding for non-profit-distributing organisations from 1 June to 31 August.
Eligible professional bodies, trade and industrial organisations, and research institutes may apply.
The scheme’s $200m budget helps fund non-profit industry projects that boost cross-border ties, promote publicity, and raise sector standards.
As of early May, more than 120 projects had been funded. The maximum grant for each approved project is $3m or 90% of the total eligible project cost, whichever is lower.
In addition, the government has also set aside $50m to launch the Professionals Participation Subsidy Programme under the scheme which will subsidise major professional bodies to participate in activities organised by the Government and the Trade Development Council.
Both programmes accept applications all year round, with submissions processed on a quarterly basis.
