Gov’t to expand the scope of mentorship programme

The programme will now cover 4,000 mentees.

The government has expanded the Strive & Rise Programme to cover Secondary 1 to 4 students as mentees, increasing the number of mentees to 4,000 from 2,800.

The government will organise more Mainland study and exchange tours and introduce mentorship groups.

Over 200 enterprises and organisations have backed the second round of the programme. Twenty-nine “star mentors” have also joined in.

Activities offered by the programme cover financial education, career and life planning, and leadership development.

The government launched the programme in 2022 under the government’s poverty alleviation strategy. Graduates of the programme will automatically become members of the Alumni Club.
