Hong Kong Air Cadet Corps opens new headquarters in Wan Chai
The HQ has a national education corner.
The Hong Kong Air Cadet Corps, which plays a key role in nurturing local aviation talent, has opened its new headquarters in Shiu Fai Terrace in Wan Chai.
The new headquarters, formerly a school, underwent more than a year of refurbishment and now features multi-purpose rooms, conference spaces, and dedicated facilities designed to support cadet training and education.
The former playground is now a parade and flag-raising training ground, vital to the corps’ Chinese-style drill routines.
The HQ has a national education corner that strengthens national identity by showcasing the country’s achievements and development.
Since April 2024, the Government Flying Service (GFS) has provided direct support and funding to the corps and helped establish the new headquarters.
GFS Air Crewman Officer III Nicholas Choi said the service joined site selection meetings to ensure the facilities aligned with the corps’ future development needs.
GFS also delivers ongoing virtual reality and flight simulator training for cadets and hosts educational field trips.
