Government warns against traveling to Gaza, Israel

It is way too risky.

According to a government release, the Security Bureau has advised Hong Kong people to avoid all travel to Gaza and nearby areas in view of the ongoing military exchanges in Israel.

It issued the warning today, advising those intending to visit the country, or already there, to closely monitor the situation, exercise caution, attend to personal safety, avoid protests and large gatherings, and monitor local announcements on the latest situation.

The Amber Outbound Travel Alert for Israel remains in force. The bureau will continue to closely monitor developments and issue updates through the media and its website.

Hong Kong residents in Israel who need assistance can call the Immigration Department on (852)1868, or contact the Chinese Embassy on (972) 528391282.
