Government employees in Hong Kong to receive pay hike

It'll take effect next year.

According to a report, the Legislative Council Finance Committee approved the funding application to implement the 2013-14 civil service pay adjustment today.

The pay for the directorate and civil servants in the upper salary band will be increased by 2.55%, while that for the middle and lower salary bands will be increased by 3.92%, with retrospective effect from April 1.
