30% of companies in Hong Kong intend to increase their salary budget in 2025 as a way to attract more candidates with in-demand skills such as in sales and tech, Randstad Hong Kong reveals.
34% of employers plan to expand their teams in 2025 whilst 54% said they will focus on maintaining their headcount, indicating mixed sentiments about the business and labour landscapes
To address these needs, 34% of employers anticipate that hiring activities are most likely to happen in sales and business development, with 22% looking to increase their technology staff.
Additionally, 16% plan to invest in hiring professionals for digital transformation and artificial intelligence roles.
The survey also identifies a significant challenge for employers, with 62% citing a lack of skilled talent as their top hiring obstacle. Many organisations are also faced with higher salary expectations amid tighter budgets.
