HKCEC appoints three senior executives

Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) has appointed three new senior executives in three of its departments.

They are Katherine Tang as Sustainability Manager; John Bicknell as Emergency Preparedness Manager in the Security Department and Simon Lee as Food & Beverage Manager–Restaurants.

These executives will reinforce and advance HKCEC’s contributions as a corporate citizen, and its reputation for providing world class service to customers and visitors.

Managing Director Monica Lee-Mueller of Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Ltd. (HML), HKCEC’s management company, said the three appointments show just how serious HML is in achieving its goals as a responsible corporate citizen and in offering exhibitors, visitors, contractors and staff a safe and enjoyable environment.

In her new position, Tang will oversee HML’s initiatives in environmental protection, community services and staff wellness. Among other responsibilities, Tang will chair a cross-department Sustainability Steering Committee designed to foster company-wide staff communication and co-operation.

Bicknell will advise the management team on safety policy and identify and introduce measures to enhance safety and manage emergency situations.

A former Deputy Regional Commander of the Hong Kong Police Force, he is also responsible for deploying manpower, implementing new policies and procedures and upgrading equipment and technology to ensure the organization is well prepared to respond to emergencies t.

Lee has more than 20 years’ experience in prestigious hotel and restaurant groups. He brings to HML proven experience that will lead to further upgrades in the food and beverage service standards at the HKCEC’s seven on-site restaurants.
