New Yim Tin Tsai pier construction to begin in H2 2027

Pier details and plans are open for public inspection.

The Government plans to construct a new pier on approximately 0.89 hectares of foreshore and seabed west of Yim Tin Tsai, providing additional berths and barrier-free facilities to improve convenience and safety for users.

Construction is expected to commence in the second half of 2027 and take approximately two years, with the existing pier remaining operational throughout this period.

Details and plans are available for public inspection at the Survey and Mapping Office, Sai Kung Home Affairs Enquiry Centre, and the Lands Department’s website.

Any person who believes that they have an interest, right, or easement in the affected area may submit a written objection to the Director of Lands by 2 March 2026, detailing how they would be affected.
