Hong Kong launches bus depot tours and miniature city show in Q4 push
The four projects also cover religious culture and the Seasons of Yuen Long district.
The government will roll out four new signature tourism projects starting in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The initiatives will cover industrial brands, miniature art, religious culture, and local characteristics, according to Deputy Chief Secretary Cheuk Wing-hing, who leads the working group on the development of tourist hotspots.
The second phase of the Hong Kong Industrial Brand Tourism Scheme will introduce organised tours of Kowloon Motor Bus depots and Beijing Tong Ren Tang’s Hong Kong research, development, and production base, as well as the MTR Station Rail Voyage: Explorer exhibition.
Meanwhile, the Hong Kong Miniature City Exhibition will return to Madame Tussauds Hong Kong at Peak Tower, featuring new miniature art pieces that showcase Hong Kong’s landmark buildings, customs, and ways of life.
Elsewhere, the Chinese Temples Committee will install QR code display boards at its temples, allowing visitors to learn about temple antiquities and redeem cultural souvenirs, as part of a broader push to digitalise the sites.
Separately, the Seasons of Yuen Long project will highlight the district's urban-rural integration through a dedicated tourist map, a thematic website, and information boards near landmarks in both the town centre and rural areas.
