Hong Kong grants 30-Day visa-free entry to Nicaragua, Solomon Islands
Reciprocal pact lifts HKSAR passport access to 178 destinations.
Nationals of Nicaragua and the Solomon Islands can now visit Hong Kong visa-free for up to 30 days, the Immigration Department announced.
Both countries participate in China’s Belt and Road Initiative, a programme focused on infrastructure, trade, investment and connectivity between participating economies.
Under the reciprocal arrangement, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) passport holders can also travel to the two countries without a visa for stays of up to 30 days.
The department said the arrangements took effect on 31 July.
With the additions, 178 countries and territories now provide visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to Hong Kong SAR passport holders.
