Diane Chen joins HML as second deputy managing director

She will commence her duties on 2 July.

Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Limited (HML) appointed Diane Chen as its second deputy managing director.

Chen will oversee three divisions: Marketing & Sales, Communications, and Human Resources & Administration.

She will develop strategies to maximise venue utilisation and revenue, enhance corporate branding, and foster human resources development at HML.

Prior to this appointment, Chen was General Manager at New World EXPO (EXPO) after progressing through several senior management positions.

Chen also serves as a board member and vice-chair of the Asia Pacific Chapter of UFI – The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, Vice-Chairman of Shenyang Exhibition Industry Association, and a board member of the European Chamber, Northeast Chapter.   

In 2021, she was awarded the designation of Certified Venue Executive (CVE) by the International Association of Venue Management (IAVM).

Chen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the University of Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne, Paris, France, and a Master’s degree in Business Strategy Management from the Institut des Hautes Études Economiques et Commerciales, Paris, France.
