Chinese Medicine Hospital named ‘teaching hub’ for 3 HK universities

The hospital will begin services in phases from December.

The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong (CMHHK) has signed collaboration agreements with three local universities to serve as the ‘teaching hospital’ for their Chinese medicine programmes.

The three partner universities are Baptist University, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the University of Hong Kong.

Under the agreements, Chinese medicine experts from the three universities will participate in clinical services at CMHHK and jointly formulate clinical standards and guidelines.

CMHHK is scheduled to begin services in phases from December.

It will provide six specialised clinical services, namely Internal Medicine, External Medicine, Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics and Traumatology, and Acupuncture and Moxibustion.

Moreover, the hospital will offer clinical placements and training opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students from the universities.
