What are Hong Kongers' go-to sources for financial advice?

More than 7 in 10 Hongkongers have been adjusting their financial plans amidst rising costs.

Almost half of Hongkongers (46%)  turn to independent financial advisers when seeking advice on their finances, data from St. James's Place Asia showed.

When selecting financial advisers, most Hongkongers (79%) go to those who share similar native language, national origin and background.

In Hong Kong, individuals aged 30-39 are most likely to talk to an adviser, with 37% of them already engaged in one.

Most Hongkongers aged 27 to 39 (96%) who have engaged with advisers said the advice they received was useful.

Apart from advisers, Hongkongers also seek advice from websites and blogs that offer financial guidance (46%).

Some still prefer to ask their family (42%), bank manager or staff (40%), and friends (36%) about their finances.
