Indosuez appoints Michaël Kofman as Hong Kong CEO

He has nearly 30 years of experience in finance.

Crédit Agricole Group’s global wealth management arm Indosuez has named Michaël Kofman as its CEO and branch manager in Hong Kong effective 1 September.

In a statement, Indosuez said Kofman will oversee Indosuez’s wealth management business in Hong Kong  and will report to Indosuez CEO Asia Omar Shokur.

He will succeed Olivier Livenais who has been in the role since early 2020.

His new post will require him to relocate from Geneva to Hong Kong.

The appointment is subject to the approval of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Indosuez said.

Kofman joined Crédit Agricole Group in 2002 and has close to 30 years of experience in financial services.

Prior to his new role, Kofman was based in Geneva as the head of Structuring and Financing of the Wealth Management Business Line for Indosuez, covering the teams in Switzerland and Asia. He also held leadership positions in Compliance and Credit Solutions.

He also held various roles in his eight years at Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank.

“Hong Kong is a key wealth creation hub amidst a competitive business landscape that has tremendous potential. Together with my team, I am eager to contribute to our clients’ successes, reinforce our best-in-class wealth solutions and drive our sustainable expansion in this fast-growing region,” Kofman said.
