Hong Kong promoted in LA
Financial Secretary John Tsang lured US businesses to take advantage of Hong Kong's being a global financial hub.
A report by the Information Services Department said Mr Tsang exchanged views on the US and global financial markets with Pacific Investment Management Company CEO and Co-Chief Investment Officer Mohamed El-Erian.
During a luncheon, according to the report, Mr Tsang shared with the business community Hong Kong's role as a global financial hub and an offshore renminbi centre, and encouraged the firms to tap these advantages by establishing a presence in Hong Kong.
On November 9 and 10 the Financial Secretary will be in Honolulu to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation Finance Ministers' Meeting.
