Bonnie Chan to take over as HKEX CEO

Chan will succeed Alejandro Nicolas Aguzin.

The Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX) has appointed Bonnie Chan as its Chief Executive following Alejandro Nicolas Aguzin’s retirement.

Chan will serve as CEO from 1 March to 28 February 2027.

Chan will also become an ex-officio member of the Board starting 1 March.

Meanwhile, HKEX also appointed Yiu Ka Yan as Deputy Chief Executive and Lau Bik Yun, Vanessa as Co-Chief Operating Officer. 

Lau will also continue to act as the Group Chief Financial Officer of HKEX.
