MEC appoints Henderson as Director of Geology
Henderson, who has 38 years of experience in Geology, will take over the place of Mr Frank Witzel, who retired in June.
Mongolia Energy Corporation Limited announced on Monday Mr. David B. Henderson, has joined the Group as Director of Geology, effective July 1, 2010, according to a MEC report.
The appointment of Mr. Henderson, a veteran with more than 38 years’ experience in geology, is a management succession appointment following the retirement of former Director of Geology Mr. Frank Witzel in June.
Mr. Henderson’s extensive project portfolio ranges all over the world, including the Mongolia, United States, Germany, Indonesia, Venezuela, Turkey, Estonia and Mexico. Mr. Henderson is a registered geologist in Idaho and holds the West Virginia Surface Miner and Surface Foreman Certification. Mr. Henderson is also knowledgeable in the coal industry with expertise in the exploration, data collection and analysis, mineral property evaluations, due diligence review and feasibility studies as well as experience in oil shale mining at an international level.
