Hang Seng, Champion REIT, CLP Power roll out energy saving pilot
Audit recommendations could trim the participants’ energy consumption by up to 15%.
Hang Seng Bank, Champion REIT, and CLP Power Hong Kong have launched a programme to reduce operating costs and improve energy efficiency in shopping centre Langham Place.
Under the programme, over 20 tenants have been invited to install Smart Energy Online, an online energy management system that provides half-hourly electricity consumption data, consumption forecasts, and alerts. They will also receive free energy audits.
Participants are expected to cut annual energy use by 10% and 15% after carrying out the recommendations, according to the CLP Energy Audit Report.
Over 3,000 customers use the CLP Smart Energy Online platform for energy management using data-driven insights, said Lena Low, senior director of customers success and experience at CLP Power.
