Cyrium Technologies opens Hong Kong office

CPV cell developer Cyrium Technologies has opened its new office in Hong Kong.

It also appointed Nelson Fan as its general manager for Asian operations. Fan holds eighteen years of experience in the semiconductor industry, having most recently worked with Traxon Technologies as its research and development director. In his new position with Cyrium Technologies, Fan will be charged with concentrating on the company’s supply chain while detecting technology options and supporting their Chinese and other Asian customers.

“Cyrium is fortunate to have attracted Nelson to our team. He is an executive with demonstrated technical talent and superior management skills,” said Harry Rozakis, CEO and president of Cyrium. “Having recently installed Cyrium QDEC solar cells in a major CPV installation in eastern China, Nelson’s appointment represents the continued expansion of our efforts in China and Asia.”

Fan was a founder and former vice president of engineering for CT Electronics and in his earlier career worked with ASAT holdings at its Hong Kong factory. With ASAT, Fan served as general manager for Hong Kong manufacturing and vice president of packing and development. He holds various U.S. patents for QFN packages and other semiconductor packaging.
