About 27,600 sqm. will be reverted to the government on 11 October.

Thirty-seven private lots with a total area about 27,600 sqm. will be resumed for the second phase development at Hung Shui Kiu/Ha Tsuen New Development Area (NDA), said the Lands Department on 10 July.

These lands will return to the Government on October 11, households and business affected will have to move out in January 2026 at the earliest.

Relevant land compensation will be given to owners of the land after returning.

Due to some in-situ land exchange within the 37 lots, the government will expropriate a small amount of third-party land.

The NDA will provide about 66,700 additional housing units and create about 150,000 job opportunities upon completion.

Three batches involving 196 hectares in total in the previous resumption will also be used for second phase development of the NDA.
