Tender for industry sites in Yuen Long and Hung Shui Kiu cancelled
The government is taking a more pragmatic arrangements for the two industry sites.
Two sites located in Yuen Long and Hung Shui Kiu will no longer be up for tender as the government arranged a more pragmatic use to strengthen its leading role and industries anchoring in the Northern Metropolis (NM).
The Development Bureau launched tenders for Yuen Long Lot and Hung Shui Kiu Lot in March and October 2024 respectively for the development of multi-storey buildings for modern industries (MSBs).
The 3-hectare Yuen Long Lot at Yuen Long Fuk Wang Street and Wang Lee Street will be handed over to the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTPC), which is near the Microelectronics Centre and Yuen Long InnoPark operated by the company.

Hung Shui Kiu Lot’s 8-hectare land was classified in a policy study to be completed by the DEVB within this year, which aims for establishing a government company to manage and operate the lands in the form of industrial park.
