Gov’t to resume Kowloon City land urban renewal

A total of 1,009 property interests will be resumed.

The Lands Department posted land resumption notices to resume urban land renewal projects at Nga Tsin Wai Road/Carpenter Road in Kowloon City.

A total of 1,009 property interests will be resumed, with the affected interests reverting to the government on 18 October.

The 37,061 square metres project site will be redeveloped for residential use with commercial facilities, diversified space, underground parking, and loading and unloading facilities.

Eligible owners of domestic properties will be offered an ex gratia home purchase allowance or a supplementary allowance, whilst domestic tenants will be offered rehousing or an ex gratia allowance.

Meanwhile, eligible commercial property occupiers may opt for an ex gratia allowance instead of the right to claim statutory compensation.
