Gov’t registers 8 land transactions in 1Q24

The transactions are worth $437m.

The government registered eight lease modifications and two land exchanges in 1Q24, with the two being technical changes involving no premium.

Three transactions are in Hong Kong Island, five are in Kowloon, and two are in the New Territories.

In the same period, the government allocated three plots of land by private treaty. Two of these, located in Sheung Shui and Cheung Sha Wan, were designated for public housing developments, while the third, in Kowloon, was assigned for residential development.

The transactions amount to a total land premium of $437m.
