
Gov't OKs 10 building plans in April
Five projects were approved to begin construction.
The Buildings Department approved 10 building plans in April.
Approved plans included two in Kowloon and four each in Hong Kong Island and the New Territories.
By building type, six projects were apartment or apartment/commercial, one was commercial, and three were for community services.
The government approved five projects to begin construction, which will add 8,916 square meters of residential and 3,203 square meters of non-residential space.
Superstructure work commencement notices were also received for the projects.
The department granted 14 occupation permits, comprising 11,308 square meters of non-residential and 59,869 square meters of domestic floor space, totalling 1,610 units.
Meanwhile, the department received 3,187 reports on illegal structures in April and issued 464 removal orders.
