Causeway Bay, Kwai Chung assets put on market

The properties were offered via private treaty amidst rising vehicle and EV demand trends.

CBRE has been appointed as the preferred agent to market a ground floor retail unit at H & S Building, Causeway Bay, and a ramp-access car repair workshop on the first floor of Wo Yi Plaza in Kwai Chung via private treaty sale.

In a press release, CBRE said the appointment follows the successful sale of 199 car parking spaces across the first to sixth floors of H & S Building.

The Causeway Bay property is a retail unit with a gross floor area of approximately 11,727 square feet (sq ft) located at the junction of Leighton Road, Percival Street and Hysan Avenue.

The unit has a frontage of around 25 metres and has previously been used as a showroom by automotive brands. CBRE said the property may be sold together with or separately from other assets in the building.

The Kwai Chung property is a ramp-access workshop with a gross floor area of approximately 28,595 sq ft including vehicle access from Wo Yi Hop Road, a ceiling height of about 4.3 metres, office space, EV charging facilities and a car wash bay.

“This sale offers local automotive retailers a rare opportunity to establish a flagship sales presence in a prime urban location, whilst also acquiring a high-quality workshop to deliver comprehensive after-sales services, representing significant long-term strategic value,” said Reeves Yan, Executive Director, Head of Capital Markets, CBRE Hong Kong.

“Hong Kong’s registered vehicle numbers have grown steadily from approximately 640,000 in 2010 to about 799,000 in 2025. In recent years, mainland automotive brands have actively expanded into Hong Kong, capturing increasing market share,” he added.

CBRE said the two properties are being offered for sale either individually or as a portfolio.
