Buildings Department approves 23 construction plans last January
The department also issued 17 occupational permits.
The Buildings Department approved 23 construction plans in January—four are on Hong Kong island, ten are in Kowloon, and nine are in the New Territories.
15 of the 23 construction plans were for commercial apartments, five for commercial developments, two for industrial use, such as factories, and one for community services development.

The Buildings Department also reported they allowed the construction of nine projects that will provide 117,013 square metres of gross floor area for domestic use involving 2,755 units and 144,989 square metres for non-domestic use, and superstructure works for five more.
They also issued 17 occupation permits—six on Hong Kong island, three in Kowloon, and eight in the New Territories—for buildings with 152,580 square metres of gross floor area for domestic use involving 3,178 units and 35,955 square metres for non-domestic use.
