Nominations are now open for HKB National Business Awards 2021

Entries will be accepted until 25 June 2021.

Hong Kong Business now welcomes nominations for the HKB National Business Awards 2021.

Now in its fourth year, HKB National Business Awards celebrates exceptional companies and their contributions to Hong Kong's economy.

The awards programme is open to local businesses whose innovative projects have significantly improved their operations. Projects will be judged on their uniqueness and innovation, effectiveness, and dynamism.

Homegrown companies with global headquarters in Hong Kong can nominate any innovative product, service, project, or strategy, as long as it has been completed over the last 24 months. Entries launched before this period are eligible for nomination as long as recent improvements or innovations have been made.

Previous winners include Carezza (Furniture and Fixture), GreenPro Capital Corp (Advisory), Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (Transportation), Nexstgo Company Limited (Revolutionary technology with aesthetic, cutting-edge solutions), Trakitall Ltd (Health Products & Services), and WTT HK (ICT).

"We feel very proud to win the award," said Patrick Wong, executive general manager for line services at Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited. "Our project was a very practical and successful project—we developed a solution to improve efficiency. Hong Kong airport is a very busy airport, and we always try to help passengers come and go on time. So we're happy about that."

Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited won the National Business Award in Transportation for its tracking solution. By using it for their company's ground service equipment at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), the company ensures safe and efficient operations of more than 300 transit flights at HKIA daily.

"Hong Kong International Airport is a top-class airport, and one of the busiest airports in the world. We carry millions of passengers a year, and it has very busy cargo operations as well. Our number one priority is to ensure aircraft safety, and that is most important because all passengers want to fly in a safe airline, and also to ensure they come and go on time. Our people work together—a strong teamwork. We also continue to improve ourselves in terms of process and technology," Wong said.

Nomination is free and open until 25 June 2021. Winners will be announced at the awarding ceremony on 21 July 2021 in Hong Kong.
