Traxon e:cue wins ‘Innovator of the Year’ award

The company was lauded as the Innovator of the Year in the Materials & Construction category at the HKB Management Excellence Awards 2022.

LED Lighting adoption has resulted in massive energy savings over the past 10 years.  It further changed urban landscapes around the world through the projection of media displays and colours that transformed how people interact with buildings and cities. Hong Kong’s iconic night skyline is a world-leading example: it is photographed, videoed, and has given the city a global identity.

Traxon e:cue being a member of Prosperity Group, has been a world leader in deploying cityscape lighting systems for almost 20 years. This year they achieved a revolutionary breakthrough by commercialising a new high-power, multi-channel LED system that is smart, saves space and energy, and uses 50% fewer materials, bagging them the Innovator of the Year - Materials & Construction Award at the HKB Management Excellence Awards 2022.

The awards programme recognises major innovators and outstanding business leaders in the Hong Kong market.  Traxon e:cue’s new state-of-the-art system is not just more energy efficient than others but uses 50% less material per watt consumed versus current LED technology.

R & D efforts focused on electrical, mechanical, and optical efficiencies and had to be integrated during the past year to realise a fully commercialised solution.  A new family of products emerged from these efforts enabling Traxon e:cue to offer the most sustainable lighting choice for new and renovated construction projects.

Overall carbon footprint was cut in half thanks to the system’s unique use of materials and power control. Using fewer LEDs, lenses, aluminium, PCB, silicone, and other materials provides a radical carbon reduction for any scale construction project.

One of Traxon e:cue’s most recent projects is Century Tower (University of Florida, USA). This 157-foot-tall structure features a stonework façade that is highlighted by the brand’s innovative high-power LED luminaires. 

Combined with this electro-mechanical advantage is a new smart control system that performs real-time power management and precise system health monitoring over time.

New colour effects are now possible with increased saturated colours and vivid pastels. Colour mixing now controls power usage by a dynamic adjustment that ensures precise colour with optimum power efficiency. 

The brand-new family of products by Traxon e:cue aims to be game changers in the world of construction thanks to their innovative, state-of-the-art technologies that have already proven to be smart and powerful yet beautifully compact in size, and therefore promise to provide long-term cost-savings as well as a positive impact on reducing overall carbon footprint.
