Pictureworks recognised at Hong Kong Business Management Excellence Awards 2025

The company received the Executive of the Year - Technology award in recognition of its CEO Sharon Tse.

Tse has achieved remarkable success and growth for Pictureworks. One of her ventures under the company was the implementation of a series of strategic changes that revitalised the company. This approach also boosted operational efficiency by reorganising operations and fostering cross-entity collaboration.

One of her key achievements was increased revenue opportunities with operational and licencing business models.

In addition to improving operational efficiency, in an effort to lead Pictureworks to the forefront of technological innovation, Tse prioritised the development of cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence and advanced video production capabilities. With these, Pictureworks has become an industry leader in digital imaging solutions with continued success in a rapidly evolving market.

Tse is also able to manage a diverse team of 150 professionals serving clients in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Indonesia, the United States, and Macau, amongst others. Her focus on fostering a culture of innovation and excellence has empowered her teams to deliver results that align with the company’s ambitious goals.

Moreover, Tse’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to establish in 2021 the Colorverse, a Web3 company that quickly made waves. Colorverse, which received funding from HKTech300, revolutionised the Web3 space by offering the first-ever free gas fee tool for NFT minting. This has enabled seamless integration of Web2 and Web3 technologies.

Tse also partnered with Tourism Malaysia in 2023 to launch the Mini Malaysia metaverse, a groundbreaking initiative in the tourism sector.

Tse’s visionary leadership also played a pivotal role in the success of Malaysia’s top ticketing platform. Tse has enhanced user convenience and accessibility by integrating traditional ticketing with e-wallets. This secured a 5% market share within the first year—without any marketing spending—through strategic partnerships and innovation.

Throughout her career, Sharon has consistently demonstrated a passion for leveraging technology to address market challenges and create value. Her results-driven approach, combined with her strategic focus on "blue ocean" strategies, has allowed her to differentiate her companies and seize market opportunities in industries ranging from digital imaging to Web3 technology to ticketing.

With her multiple successful ventures across diverse industries, Tse has definitely proven herself worthy of the honour from the Hong Kong Business Management Excellence Awards.
