The Lantau Group brings home win at Hong Kong Business Management Excellence Awards 2026

It has launched Market Intelligence Quarterly Services (MIQs) for nine APAC markets within 18 months.

The consultancy firm The Lantau Group (TLG) received the Team of the Year - Energy accolade at the esteemed Hong Kong Business Management Excellence Awards 2026 for successfully developing a highly decentralised consultancy model amidst its staff being resiled across Asia Pacific during the pandemic.

With this business model, the company has opened legal entities wherever needed in order to hire and tender for local engagements. It has also staffed projects deliberately across offices to maintain close intellectual ties despite physical distance.

At the same time, TLG has developed core teams capable of working across markets and locations and using tools and models developed and maintained by its Deep Analytics Resources and Tools (DART) team. This strengthened its commitment to knowledge sharing and harmonising approaches and data sources where appropriate.

Such initiatives have enabled the launch and rapid expansion of its MIQ subscription services from two to nine markets across APAC, offering clients flexible, expert-driven market insights and specialised modelling of complex electricity markets. Within 18 months, the MIQ services now cover the Philippines, Mainland China, Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and India, each supported by advanced market modelling and long-term outlooks.
