Infineon Technologies (China) wins at Hong Kong Business Greater Bay Area Enterprise Awards 2026

The company drives growth in the Greater Bay Area through technology, talent cultivation, and local collaboration.

Infineon Technologies (China) won in the Semiconductor category in the Hong Kong Business Greater Bay Area Enterprise Awards 2026, recognising the company’s long-term contributions to technology development, operational excellence, and talent cultivation in the region.

As a global semiconductor leader in power systems and IoT, Infineon Technologies entered the Hong Kong market in 1994 and established its branch office in Shenzhen in 1998. Over the past three decades, the company has grown steadily in the Greater Bay Area, focusing on operational excellence, technology innovation, and strengthening the local ecosystem.

Technology innovation remains a core focus for Infineon. In 2021, the company launched the Smart Application Competence Center (SACC) in Shenzhen to advance industrial smart devices, smart cars, AI servers, and robotics. By 2025, SACC delivered over 20 system solutions and collaborated with more than 20 companies to accelerate product development and commercial applications, covering the full-scale power products, digital power systems, and one-stop Edge AI platform. Additionally, in 2025, Infineon also established a Robotics Lab in Hong Kong, providing system solutions and key modules for humanoid robot designs.

Infineon also strengthens the local ecosystem by engaging in talent development and collaborative programmes. Since 2022, the company has partnered with the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park (HKSTP) on a three-year Co-Incubation Program, completing six projects and creating 86 business opportunities in technology/product applications. The initiative has delivered 12 training sessions attended by 679 participants from 270 organisations.

Additionally, Infineon also contributed to the nurturing of young talents by engaging universities, colleges and secondary schools for talent developments. For example, Infineon joined the Dual System Professional Training Program of German Industry and Commerce Hong Kong Ltd. and Business-School Partnership Program 25/26 of Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce.
